JACKIE O / + 2
Manchester's "Jackie 0 are the queens of noise backed up by two crazy guitars. There's been much exaggerated talk of Jackie O slowing down. If anything the band are harder, faster and more recklessly brilliant than ever. A new stock of tunes points to an impendingly brilliant debut album. Something that's borne out by tonight's richochet drums, plummeting bass lines and explosive guitars. This Is very much a band on a mission;"

Monday 29
YUFFIE / MISS THE OCCUPIER / SCUNNER
Forming in Glasgow in 2003. Miss The Occupier came from the shared influences of itchy punk-pop & nervy indie-rock, the line-up coming from Roz Davles on bass & vocals, Magnus Hughson on guitar & vocals. & Ste Kelly on drums. Sticking to the three-piece ethic of small is good, songs are punchy, pacy and generally loud, keeping things tight and interesting with angular guitar lines and driving bass. Ste decided to leave the band In May 2005. He has since been replaced by Mr Derek Butters. Magnus is also a member of Glasgow Glam Bangers, while Roz and Derek play bass and drums respectively for Josephine. "Scarce & other 3-piece geometric pop scuzzers are called to mind. Ms Roz's singing and bass propelling the short & sweet numbers like a hovercraft through the Everglades, crocodiles snapping at the air as they pass.'
