***ONES TO WATCH***WHAT THE BLOOD REVEALED / TACOMA NARROWS BRIDGE DISASTER / NAISIAN / WITHOUT AEROPLANES
In the fields the bodies burning... A lone figure cracks the skyline, fist clenched and ready for whatever horrors the great big bastard in the sky has got left to vom forth with. Later a crouching, huddled mess... ravaged by the gas, the raking of mortar, the thunder of unspeakable burning machines grinding the land with no regard for those that once lived. The long dark tunnel of enveloping mother sleep is now all that seems to remain... when the light finally takes us, only echos of the earth surely eating itself can be faintly heard... 8PM £5

ADAM STEARNS AND THE GLASS ANIMALS / HONEY AND THE HERBS / ROBIN ADAMS / STOWAWAY
Mr. Stearns and his band of little lovely bums have been described well with the following words of joy - "Having freshly peeled himself off the floor of the Captains Rest, Adam Stearns continues to defile song structure, picking his way through chord progressions like a stubborn fingernail stuck between his teeth. The results surpassing the most epic throat crumb." Joined by a collection of fragile mammals, expect to be thoroughly flattened by the splendor. Broken folk indeedly doo-dah! / Honey and thee Herbs?!?! Witness guitar licks that make oregano wish it tasted like lavender honey and songs you could eat with a spoon. Revel in the smooth way they slide down and around slapping surf with a cooool latino groove / Robin Adams is a prolific and intelectual songwriter who will take you down the pits of thought and oblivion, light and dark, mud and clarity. I saw him once and caught an S.T.D from a rollerskate...but I believe it's all cleared up now!/ Stowaway shall warm us up with a wee set of Balkan rock, stripped down to a three piece for one night only, freshly served with zest from Woodlands Road! 8PM £5 , be there ya square.

Get yr Shit Oot ae ma Shit presents: DYLAND NYOUKIS and FRITZ WELCH COMBO / MUSCLETUSK / NACKT INSECTEN / USURPER
These ain't yr regular dunder-hieded lunks! These is special dunder-hieded lunks! Dylan Nyoukis has been skirting the outer limits of audio acceptability since the early 90's with noise/vocal/weirdo groups Prick Decay, Decaer Pinga and Blood Stereo. His output swings from unnervingly free mouth workouts to warped drones to electrical huh without hardly pausing to scratch it's dunted skull bone. Fritz Welch is kinda like an American Dylan Nyoukis seen through eyes full o molten wax and salty tears. Again making unholy use of gob is second nature to this ex-Peeesseye beast who's been busting out everything from subtle percussive nuance to bleak howling menace since swiping Glasgow's improv heart with a deftly calculated immigration maneuver back in '09. Some dork done paired them up! Heaven help us! MUSCLETUSK - Edinburgh heavyweight noise and clatter crew return after far too long in their dank mushroom dungeon of a practice space. Loudest confusion I ever heard. Loudest and best! Check yr brain at the door, bozo. Nackt Insektahk - Recent performances have involved a 10 man noise orchestra, a minimal drone trio, a 5 man percussive shakedown and a solo keyboard blast. This set promises to be none of the above, probably. Usurper - Just confirmed that Edinburgh's furriest small scale improv duo will be making the trek West also. Look at that bill! What is this? 2006??? HOLEEE SHEEEEIT SUN 8pm £5 smash.

IAN NAGOSKI / THE FAMILY ELAN / WOUNDED KNEE
Nagoski presents a lecture based on his Tompkins Square collection To What Strange Place: The Music Of The Ottoman-American Diaspora, 1916–1929 with bouzouki/bass/percussion trio The Family Elan. This cannot be missed. Ian will play and discuss a selection of tracks from the collection and relate stories of migration, the embryonic record pressing industry, cultural dispersal and interweaving – he’s delivered several such presentations in the US, where the musical mix of deep contemplation, utter tragedy, blazing jams and some hilarity has left deep impressions on his audiences. ”Comparisons with Harry Smith’s anthology or Revenant’s American Primitive are in order, not least because this is American music with a capital A, animated by the same feelings of desperation, nostalgia, the quest for cheap kicks and the agony of loss. Like Smith, Nagoski is a Walter Benjamin visionary, using his collection of 78s to hallucinate a history that actually happened but which remains hidden beneath official dogma and nationalisms.” -The WIRE, August 2011. Support comes from our very own Bard WOUNDED KNEE. Only a total pie would miss this. have at ye! 8pm £5

DRUNK IN HELL / HEADLESS KROSS / PROLIFE
Drunk in Hell are NOT to be fucked with. Frae Middlesbrough. I once seen em live at a festival on way too much horseyhorsey and through a state of blissfull trance and slowed reet doon crushing of what I later had to assume was a soul, I peed myself. Not one to admit these things freely and even less likely am I to lose control of such bodily function as thon, I can only speak of these things because brothers and sisters, I seen me some shit that'd go mighty whitey bogus all overr bill n ted's journey. Or to put it another way - The heaviest grinding churning raging sludge this side of botswana. "THIS BAND MAKES ME WANT TO KILL THINGS AND FUCK THEM WITH INANIMATE OBJECTS." - Dave Terry Esq. / Headless Kross are the band every Scottish doomslob wishes he/she could be in. Fucking ferocious, rolling waves of extra extra thick frijj chocolate brownie sludge with venom seared hateful vocals. We're talking a whole lot of fun, prizeez to be wunn. Patty Sharp innit. / Prolife are speedy as all sorts of gonzales sheeit. crusty n hardcore in curious measures, the past couple of years have seen the Glasgow supergroup gone from strength to strength and with the new '...presents John Carpenter' EP they really do nail their stinking wee wrists to the mass and scream out a blasphemin' call to arms that is unmistakeably Pro-Life. DANNY SAUNDERS / SAINT MAX / JAMES MURRAY / TARA HALLY
There was a time when bands were the done thing. Danny Saunders plays with Correcto, of Domino Records. Tonight, however, he plays alone, fierce and unflinching in soloist glory. And beside him, more similar souls: a strange breed of folk, who actually get a kick out of being the only person on the stage. Saint Max, a prophet for the modern world, a fucked up wee cultist and powerful melodist. He will convert you. James Murray: balladeer, fingerstyle savant and all round folk hero – prepare to meet an artist blessed with hooks and the ability to enchant and ensnare an audience. Tara Band Hally: a newcomer whose intensity and delicate yet resonant stylings leave all others descriptions out in the cold. 7.30pm £2 entry!!

GNOD / THOTH / PYRAMIDION / COSMIC DEAD
Like a badger with an afro throwing sparklers at the pope - As a band GNOD have always been creating, hours and hours of jams of which they occasionally see fit to release to the wider world. I say occasionally; since their formation in 2007 they’ve had at least twelve full-length releases and claim to have had many more. These appear out of nowhere though, with no fanfare or attention; Gnod aren’t wilfully elusive, but there is a mysticism that surrounds them nonetheless, an ever changing cast and a lack of information about them … they keep themselves to themselves mainly, in a collective residency at Salford’s Islington Mill – a creative arts space where they live and rehearse.” - TheeQuietus //// Supported by the sexiest first and last words in the Scottish psych improvkosmiche scene. This gig will be the aural equivelant of a whole pack of opal fruits, a half pack of skittles and an MDMA laced pack of fruit pastels all being administered in an irn-bru enema when you have a tickly anus. 8pm £5 - We are too good to you lot. They’re currently writing a two EP set of doom ballads based on the the NASA Constellation programme and are occasionally Withered Hand's backing band. / RADIO TREES: Radio Trees is the solo project from Michael-John McCarthy of Zoey Van Goey & Aidan Moffat's Best Ofs and sees him employ a gentle kind of pastoral folk with swathes of Accordion and minimal electric guitar. ARABROT / MANATEES / CITIZENS / KHOL
Årabrot is about to represent for this generation what the sum of Melvins, Birthday Party and Swans was to the generation before them; a source of pleasure from both auditory and moral excesses. The band’s foundation is noise-rock, but has strong elements of industrial music and noise. In Årabrot there is also a dramatic component few other bands in history possess: histories are told and emotions are laid out in a way that’s closer to the compositional techniques of experimental film and theatre than traditional song structure. Last but not least they are drawn to the lyrics that combine elements of two of the most stimulating works of human kind: The Bible and Pornography. MANATEES are a force of nature, wall of sound ambient post metal prog metal meltdown from Carlisle. Kinda the best at what they do. There is no one else like them. Utterly awe inspiring and crushing. CITIZENS are our local post-hardcore sludgey doomsuckers that've managed to tour the world twice, win the love and respect of their peers and not lose their minds in the space of just 18 months. Beat that socko. KHOL play communal ambient krautrock and psych influenced spacerock improv and feature members of sunsmasher and vcheka. They turn me on something wild and I think they will do the same to you. 8PM £5
